Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Sunflower Connections

Unfortunately we will not be hosting our beloved Sunflower Fair in 2021 due to ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, so the NC-FH AAA is bringing something special and more personal to a community near you.

“COVID-19 has popped our plans for our popular annual Sunflower Fair—so these two events are ways for people in this part of Kansas to get trustworthy and practical information on topics important to anyone who is going to celebrate more birthdays,” said Julie Govert Walter, Executive Director of the NC-FH AAA.  She added that experts will cover “Managing Your Legal Problems When Your Money Runs Out,” “Positive Aging! Positive Attitude!” and “Talking With Your Doctor: Being Your Best Health Care Advocate.”

Walter said that each event features expert speakers, prizes, entertainment and lunch. For the safety of participants, each event is limited to 50 people. These events start at 9:30 a.m. and go to about at 2:30.

Registration for participants is $10 per person and includes a catered lunch. To register call the NC-FH AAA at 1-800-432-2703 or visit www.ncfhaaa.com/sunflowerconnections. Advance registration is encouraged as space is restricted because of concerns for safety during COVID.
