Head Cook April Brooks and volunteer Bob Flores at the Riley County Senior Services Center prepare meals for Justin Tadtman, a volunteer from Farm Bureau Financial Services, to deliver to senior Kansans in Clay Center. After COVID-19 complications led the center there to temporarily close, the Riley County Senior Services Center stepped up to provide the much needed meals. Since Thursday, October 22nd the Riley Center has provided 520 hot and frozen meals and 74 shelf-stable meals for Justin to deliver to Clay Center seniors.
