Living Longer and Running Out of Money: an AOK Seminar

The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging will be offering a new Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Zoom on Thursday, May 27th at 5:30 pm As seniors’ physical health and lifespans improve, it’s often hard for their financial health to keep up. Will you outlive your income? What happens when you run out of money to pay the bills?

Come hear Paul Shipp, Managing Attorney at Kansas Legal Services discuss outliving your income and how to avoid it. In this seminar Paul talks about topics such as bad credit, reverse mortgages, knowing what your legal rights are and avoiding credit card debt. A handout on how to protect your income and assets from Kansas Legal Services will be distributed to those who attend.

Registration is available at www.ncfhaaa.com/seminars or by calling 1-800-432-2730.

Paul Shipp will be presenting a different Zoom seminar each month on a variety of legal topics that are important for seniors and Kansans living with disabilities. Watch our website, social media, field announcements and the Caregiver Newsletter for more information.

Detailed instructions on how to participate in Zoom technology are available at www.ncfhaaa.com/seminars and login instructions will be sent to those who register. There is no cost for participating; voluntary contributions are appreciated and accepted.
