More Medicare Basics Seminars Coming in October as Open Enrollment Approaches

With Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment period coming on October 15th, it’s more important than ever to know what your options are and how to navigate the system. Karen Mayse, a certified Medicare Benefits counselor with more than 10 years of experience in explaining Medicare to Kansans, will present eight seminars in the month of October.

Medicare is health insurance for people who are 65 or better and for people who qualify because of disabilities. The two-part Zoom Medicare Basics seminar series provides an easy-to-understand overview of Medicare, steps to enrollment and explains how Medicare works with employer’s insurance. It also provides information about Extra Help and other Medicare Savings Programs and addresses participants’ questions.

Medicare Basics Part 1 seminars will be on Wednesday, October 7th at 5:30 pm; Wednesday, October 14th at 5:30 pm; Wednesday, October 21st at 5:30 pm; and Wednesday, October 28th at 5:30 pm.

Medicare Basics Part 2 will be on Thursday, October 8th at 5:30 pm; Thursday, October 15th, at 5:30 pm; Thursday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm; and Thursday, October 29th at 5:30 pm.

Registration is now open for the October events, and is available at www.ncfhaaa.com/seminars or by calling 1-800-432-2730. All registration need to be made by 5 pm on the day before the session.
