/The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging will continue offering new Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Zoom seminars over various topics in the coming months.

Detailed instructions on how to participate in Zoom technology are available at www.ncfhaaa.com/seminars and login instructions will be sent to those who register. There is no cost for participating; voluntary contributions are appreciated and accepted.
Medicare Basics, Parts 1 and 2
Learn about Medicare and get answers to your Medicare questions from Karen Mayse, an experienced certified Medicare benefits counselor. Mayse has provided unbiased information as a SHICK Counselor (Senior Health Insurance Counselors for Kansas) for more than 10 years and helps people when they are considering Medicare options. In a series of two sessions, Karen will help people new to Medicare get the information they need to successfully enroll in Medicare. Medicare Basics Part 1 will cover Medicare’s alphabet soup, the steps to enrollment, and coordination with Medicare and employer insurance. Medicare Basics Part 2 will move into Medicare Savings Plans, covering gaps in Medicare, the Extra Help program, and more. Registrants are encouraged to attend both seminars to get the complete Medicare picture. Spaces are limited, and advance registration by at least the day before a session is required.
Medicare Basics Part 1 will be held on Wednesday, August 4th at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, August 18th at 5:30 p.m.
Medicare Basics Part 2 will be held on Thursday, August 5th at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, August 19th at 5:30 p.m.
Legal Seminars with Paul Shipp
Paul Shipp will be presenting a different Zoom seminar each month on a variety of legal topics that are important for seniors and Kansans living with disabilities. Watch our website, social media, field announcements and the Caregiver Newsletter for more information. Qualifying for KanCare will be held on Thursday, August 19th at 5:30 pm. Advance registration is required.
