Estate Planning Basics: Avoiding Unintended Consequences-An AOK Seminar

The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) is happy to continue providing Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Zoom seminars on legal topics. The next seminar will take place on Thursday, July 8th at 5:30 pm.

Estate Planning: Avoiding Unintended Consequences will be presented by Paul Shipp, Managing Attorney at Kansas Legal Services, on Thursday, July 8th at 5:30 pm by Zoom. Paul will explain what advanced directives, living wills, Durable Powers of Attorney (DPOAs), transfer on death deeds, trusts and non-probate transfers are as well as when and how to update them. The seminar also discusses family drama that can arise from trying to include too many people and how to avoid it.

Paul Shipp will be presenting a different Zoom seminar each month on a variety of legal topics that are important for seniors and Kansans living with disabilities. Watch our website, social media, field announcements and the Caregiver Newsletter for more information.
